The Faculty of Technology, Khon Kaen University, warmly welcomed parents and new students for the academic year 2025 on Saturday, June 14, 2024, from 10:00 to 12:00. The event was led by Assistant Professor Nusara Surakhot, Associate Dean for Education, Student Development, and Alumni Relations, together with lecturers and staff of the Faculty of Technology. They organized the “Parent-Meet Day for the 2025 Academic Year” with the objective of fostering relationships between the parents of new students, faculty members, and staff of the Faculty of Technology, as well as providing information regarding academic programs, scholarships, student dormitories, and new students’ life at Khon Kaen University. The event took place at the Fuangfa Room, Faculty of Technology, Khon Kaen University.

The activity began at 10:00 a.m. with an introductory video showcasing important places at Khon Kaen University, followed by a video introducing the Faculty of Technology, allowing parents to gain a better understanding of the faculty. At 10:30 a.m., Assistant Professor Nusara Surakhot, Associate Dean for Education, Student Development, and Alumni Relations, delivered a welcoming speech to the parents of the new students and introduced the faculty’s executive team, academic advisors, and the academic support staff.

Afterwards, Assistant Professor Nusara Surakhot provided guidance on university student life at Khon Kaen University, details regarding scholarships, information on student dormitories available at KKU, transportation from the dormitories to the Faculty of Technology, living expenses such as meals and available dining areas, and overall student life at the university. There was also a Q&A session, where parents had the opportunity to ask questions and receive clarifications regarding concerns about their children.

The President of the Faculty of Technology Student Club, together with committee members, provided parents with information on important activities for new students throughout the year. Subsequently, parents met with academic staff in each field of study for guidance and information on how advisors will support and care for the students.
