On May 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM, Assistant Professor Dr. Araya Chaoruangrit, Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Khon Kaen University, along with the faculty’s executive team, met with Mr. Chatchai Khosavisuttijak, Chairman of the Executive Board of Kosa Hotel, Khon Kaen, to explore avenues for academic-industry collaboration aimed at strengthening the Culinary Science and Technology curriculum.
The meeting focused on a shared commitment to advancing student competencies by integrating real-world skills and industry-aligned experiences into academic training. A central theme of the discussion was the development of an in-depth internship program within the context of the hospitality industry—emphasizing well-being, quality operations, and practical learning environments.
Students enrolled in the program will gain firsthand experience in formulating health-oriented culinary recipes that not only preserve rich flavors but also embody the artistry of modern food presentation. This initiative aligns with current consumer trends and aims to elevate academic standards to better meet the evolving demands of the food and hospitality sectors.
The collaboration will soon be formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Faculty of Technology and Kosa Hotel. This strategic partnership is expected to establish a sustainable mechanism for cooperation between academia and industry—enhancing the development of high-quality human resources to support Thailand’s professional food and service industries.
