On Monday, June 16, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., Assistant Professor Dr. Araya Chaoruangrit, Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Khon Kaen University, together with the Student Club of the Faculty of Technology, led new students to participate in the “San Sai Yai Phuk Phan Su Khwan Luk Phra That” (First Meeting for KKU Freshmen 2025), a Bai Sri Su Khwan welcoming ceremony for the 62nd generation of new KKU students, held at the 50th Anniversary Sports Field, Khon Kaen University.

The event was honored by Mr. Prachuap Rukpaet, Deputy Governor of Khon Kaen Province, who presided over the ceremony, along with Associate Professor Dr. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, as well as university executives, deans, and faculty members. The program featured a live performance by the Pong Lang Sinsai band from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, followed by a procession of student organizations and student clubs, along with the faculty flags. The new students then marched onto the football field to the central stage for the Bai Sri Su Khwan ritual. Afterwards, Assistant Professor Dr. Araya Chaoruangrit tied holy threads on the wrists of the freshmen, welcomed them, and offered his blessings.
