Recipients of the Khon Kaen University Personnel Honor Award for Fiscal Year 2024 Khon Kaen University would like to congratulate all personnel who have received the Personnel Honor Award for the fiscal year 2024. This award is a symbol of dedication, selflessness, and exemplary performance in their duties. ‘Personnel’ are the vital driving force propelling the university towards excellence in academics, research, and community service.

The Faculty of Technology, Khon Kaen University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Araya Chaoruangrit, Dean of the Faculty of Technology; Khun Somkid Poltue, Director of the Administration Division; Khun Arthit Chiangkruea; Khun Sisuk Phiachan; Khun Onsi Kaewsiri; Khun Rattapong Wongkhampan; and Khun Samart Thongyot, together with the Infrastructure and Landscape Team as well as the management, faculty members, staff, and students, take great pride in being part of Khon Kaen University on the occasion of receiving the “Outstanding Internal Organizational Management Support for Energy Conservation” award.

This accomplishment is the result of advancing Khon Kaen University policies across academics, research, and community service, as well as driving the Faculty of Technology forward in parallel with the University towards sustainability in energy and the environment—under the concept of “Green Energy and participation of personnel to create change with sustainable energy.” A key element of this success is building awareness and understanding about sustainable energy, promoting active involvement among staff, and fostering confidence that through the collaboration of all personnel from every sector, together with the Faculty of Technology and Khon Kaen University, we can continue developing into an environmentally friendly and sustainable organization, and become a vital part of fostering a sustainable society as a whole.

To achieve the goals of increasing green spaces and reducing electricity consumption, we have set forth the following clear and practical operational guidelines:

1. Promoting the full potential use of solar energy (solar cells): Focused on installing and expanding the use of renewable solar energy throughout various areas of the University to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
2. Designing environmentally friendly buildings and landscapes: Emphasis is placed on designing new buildings and renovating campus spaces to follow energy conservation principles and increase green spaces, creating a pleasant and livable environment.
3. Waste and resource management following BCG (Bio-Circular-Green Economy) and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) concepts: Supporting efficient waste management systems, reducing waste volume, and promoting resource reclamation in accordance with circular economy principles, alongside operations that consider environmental, social, and governance impacts.

These efforts are not only beneficial to the university environment but also demonstrate Khon Kaen University’s significant role as a leading academic institution with responsibility towards society and the environment at both the regional and national levels.

The Khon Kaen University Personnel Honor Award for Fiscal Year 2024, and the award presentation in the “Cheun Chom Yin Dee, Duay Maitri Lae Khobkhun” (Appreciation and Gratitude) ceremony, will be held on June 27, 2025, at the Auditorium, Science Park, Khon Kaen University.
