Faculty of Technology Hosts Third “Let’s Think, Let’s Talk” Academic Forum on Curriculum Development and AUN-QA Standards

On Tuesday, April 28, 2025, the Faculty of Technology, Khon Kaen University, hosted the third installment of its academic forum series, titled “Let’s Think, Let’s Talk: Academic Forum #3,” at Seminar Room 2, Faculty of Technology.

The event was officially opened by Assistant Professor Dr. Araya Chaoruangrit, Dean of the Faculty, who underscored the importance of curriculum development that meets the demands of the modern era and aligns with the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) standards. She emphasized the need for proper preparation ahead of quality assessments in accordance with AUN-QA criteria.

Associate Professor Dr. Wanwipha Kaewpradit Phonphinit

The forum featured a keynote address by Associate Professor Dr. Wannawipa Kaewpradit Pholpinit, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at the Office of Academic Administration and Development, Khon Kaen University. A recognized expert in internal quality assurance under the AUN-QA framework, Dr. Wannawipa delivered a comprehensive lecture and led a hands-on workshop focused on Stakeholder Analysis and its integration into the design of Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs).

  • A detailed lecture on Stakeholder Mapping and strategies for Stakeholder Needs Analysis

  • A practical workshop on prioritizing stakeholders based on relevance and impact on the curriculum, with an emphasis on aligning outcomes with institutional goals

  • Translating stakeholder insights into meaningful learning outcomes that support the curriculum’s mission and vision

Collaborative Exchange Among Program Instructors

The session concluded with an open forum that encouraged instructors from various academic programs to share their experiences and perspectives. Discussions focused on the application of stakeholder analysis in curriculum development and generated ideas for creating more flexible, future-ready academic programs that are responsive to the real needs of the labor market and broader society.

This academic forum served as a strategic platform to:

  • Enhance participants’ understanding of stakeholder-informed curriculum design

  • Prepare academic programs for evaluation under AUN-QA Version 4.0
