offers B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. levels which studies processes using biological resources, especially microorganisms and cell compositions for the production of various products. These products include food, medicine and chemicals. Biotechnological engineering processes are used in solving environmental problems, and the production of alternative energy. Students at the Biotechnology Department learn fundamental subjects in science and engineering as well as specialized subjects in biotechnology to prepare for effectively applying this knowledge in the future work. Besides studying in the classroom, students have a chance to learn through field trip, internships in state organizations and private companies domestically and abroad
