On May 30, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Araya Chaowruangrit, Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Khon Kaen University (KKU), together with Asst. Prof. Nusara Surakote, Associate Dean for Student Development and Alumni Affairs, and faculty members from the Faculty of Technology, participated in the AI Innovation Training for Curriculum Development and the official launch of the KKU CORE-C Curriculum system to international standards. This event was organized by the Office of Academic Administration and Development, Khon Kaen University, as the host of the seminar project titled \u201cOutcome-Based Education Curriculum Implementation with Generative AI: Bridging Design and Practice.\u201d The seminar was held at Pullman Khon Kaen Raja Orchid Hotel, aiming to enhance the quality of curriculum development through artificial intelligence innovation.<\/p>\n

The event was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, with Asst. Prof. Dr. Denpong Soodphakdee, Vice President for Education and Digital Affairs, also in attendance. This seminar marked another significant milestone for the Office of Academic Administration and Development in educational innovation and in serving as a key support system for faculty members in curriculum development.<\/p>\n

The event brought together over 230 participants, including curriculum coordinators from all faculties and related personnel, reflecting the university\u2019s strong commitment to raising the quality of education. Notably, the highlight of the event was the launch of the KKU CORE-C Curriculum system\u2014an innovative product of the Office of Academic Administration and Development, which has been under continuous and long-term development. This centralized system comprehensively manages all aspects of curricular processes, from proposing new programs and structuring according to the OBE-PLO (Outcome-Based Education\u2013Program Learning Outcomes) model, to handling complex and comprehensive data management. The system will enable faculty members to develop curricula more effectively and systematically.<\/p>\n

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wannawipa Kaewpradit Polpinit, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Office of Academic Administration and Development, emphasized that this seminar laid a critical foundation for personnel development in curriculum design: \u201cWe have gathered experts from various fields, both within and outside the university, to exchange experiences and share knowledge. The participation of faculty members from every faculty today will help foster a clear understanding of the application of AI technology to enhance the quality of curricula and teaching management.\u201d<\/p>\n

The seminar covered a wide range of topics, both theoretical and practical, beginning with lectures on \u201cStreamlining and Enhancing Curriculum Submissions by Generative AI\u201d and \u201cOutcome-Based Education Curriculum Implementation,\u201d followed by experience-sharing panel discussions and a practical workshop on the use of AI for curriculum development. This will enable participants to apply the knowledge gained in practical curriculum improvement in the future.<\/p>\n
