\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The Faculty of Technology at Khon Kaen University (KKU) recently organized its annual International Student Exchange Program 2025<\/strong>, welcoming exchange students from Universitas Gadjah Mada and Indonesia International Institute for Life Science (i3L), Indonesia, along with full-time international master’s degree students from various countries. The one-day cultural immersion event took place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Dong Lan Community in Si Chomphu District, Khon Kaen Province<\/strong>. The program aimed to promote academic and cultural exchange between Thai and International students while showcasing local Thai traditions and natural attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Assistant Professor Dr. Araya Chaoruengrit, Dean of the Faculty of Technology<\/strong>, led the delegation which included 19 international students and faculty members. Ms. Kanok-on Neera, International Relations Officer,<\/strong> who took care of the project, accompanied the group throughout their cultural journey.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The day began at Pattarawarin Farm in Si Chomphu District, where students explored local plant species and created artwork using natural dyes. Participants also learned the eco-printing process using local flowers and leaves, creating memorable souvenirs to take home. In the afternoon, the group visited several natural attractions including Bua Ban Cave, Phra Cave, and Pha Jo Cave\u2014spectacular limestone formations with historical significance as former shelters for communist fighters. Students explored the Dong Lan community, experiencing authentic rural Thai lifestyle with guidance from local community leaders. The program also included refreshing activities at Nam Phong Stream and a workshop on stone painting, a traditional local art form reflecting the community’s cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 This exchange program not only allows international students to experience Thai culture firsthand but also helps develop English communication skills among international students, staff, and local community members.
