Meanwhile, student representatives from Years 1 to 4 shared their learning experiences and provided information on the program’s educational management across each academic year. Their input covered awareness and understanding of Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) and Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs); appropriateness of content and course sequencing; implementation of learning activities in theory, practical sessions, projects, internships, and cooperative education programs that support the development of knowledge and skills according to specified learning outcomes. Students also provided information on the clarity of assessment methods and criteria, grading standards, receipt of feedback from instructors to enhance their learning, and access to grade review or appeal channels. They also expressed their needs for developing communication skills, leadership, and the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), as well as the adequacy and readiness of learning spaces and educational support facilities. These learner-perspective insights serve as an essential foundation for reviewing and improving the curriculum, teaching and learning processes, assessment, and student support services in alignment with students’ developmental stages and needs at each year level, thereby promoting achievement of learning outcomes and continuous quality improvement in accordance with AUN-QA Version 4.0.”
“Regarding the program support process, Ms. Yuwasiri Bunlai, Professional-Level Scientist, and Ms. Phakarat Peerakamon, Educational Services Practitioner, provided information on laboratory and educational management support. This covered equipment readiness, guidance on usage and safety, coordination to support teaching and learning, gathering feedback from students and instructors, and staff competency development, ensuring that support processes contribute to learners achieving the program’s defined outcomes.”
“In the concluding segment, the assessment committee reflected on the evaluation results. All program faculty members met the required qualification standards. The committee highlighted strengths in faculty qualifications and expertise aligned with the discipline, student competency development activities, and the readiness of laboratories and equipment that support learning.”
“For development areas based on learning outcomes and curriculum structure criteria, the committee offered recommendations concerning: the systematic analysis of interview data and stakeholder needs; clear definition of PLOs and CLOs that are measurable and aligned in content and learning level; outcome-based curriculum design; and the creation of Curriculum Mapping to demonstrate the linkage between courses and the program’s intended learning outcomes.”
“In the area of teaching, learning, and student assessment, development points included: designing Active Learning approaches aligned with CLOs; translating educational philosophy into learning management; promoting and assessing lifelong learning skills and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset; developing Rubrics and Marking Schemes that are valid, reliable, and fair, along with storing evidence of learning outcome achievement; and reviewing teaching and assessment in relation to real workplace contexts.”
“Regarding personnel and student support, the committee recommended: communication and comprehensive assessment of staff competencies; competency gap analysis and identification of development needs to create personnel development plans; along with formulating and implementing a long-term student support plan covering both academic and non-academic aspects. For outputs and outcomes, key considerations included collecting 3–5 years of retrospective data, trend analysis, monitoring, and benchmarking with appropriate comparators to utilize data for improving program performance.”
“Integrating assessment results and feedback from faculty, employers, alumni, students, and support staff thus becomes a crucial basis for prioritizing development areas and continuously monitoring improvement outcomes. This ensures that curriculum development, teaching and learning management, assessment, and learner support systems move in the same direction—towards producing Food Technology graduates with competencies aligned to the needs of industry and society.”
